atvmississippiboy-

I bought my 05'Raptor recently and had the same concerns. I also ride in creek water here in TN. I have plowed into standing water and have never experienced a problem. I have sat in the middle of water up to the airbox (not above snorkle) with zero problems. Recently I removed my airbox lid and replaced with an open K&N power lid w/ an outerwear. I'm impressed, zero water iin the intake. As long as you ride concious of how deep you are and stuff, you will love the raptor.

The new raptors dont have any problems. The only things to remember about the raptor is keep the air filter clean and make sure you adjust the valves every 20-30 hours

For the kind of riding you do, In my opinion you wont be able to beat a raptor. I have had my 05 for about 6 months and I ride hard, Mx, sand, drag ect. I have had no problems at all and love that machine. The ride is nice and it has plenty of power!!!
