Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. vs. Grizzly 660

for Trail ride, mud bog, rock hound....

how bout comparing it to a sportsman 700... or even the 800.

 

Exactly. But if I had to pick the 500 or the 660, I would take the 660. I'm a sucker for displacement.

 

They are not in the same league, why would you compare the two?

 

The 660 should be compared to the 600 or 700 not really the 500HO ... but i still like the 500HO better [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

What do you mean they are not in the same league? The 500ho is very much capable of doing everything the 660 does. The only downfall that I see with the 660 is it is too tippy. The SP is much more stable. Power for power the 500 ho will keep up with a grizz. I have seen it otherwise I would not say it. As for dependability the 500 ho is probably the most dependable motor Polaris has with plenty of power.

I dont see why this subject is always brought up. The Yamaha guys will stick by Yamaha and Polaris guys stick with Polaris. WHO CARES> Ride one and make your own decision. BOTH quads are great.

You just cant compair the 800 with the 660.

 

Ok, how about a 660 vs a 700efi

 

I like them both but It's personal preference which you think is "better"

 

The reason I want to compare the 500HO Polaris, with the Grizz is due to the fact that it is less displacement and always gets a bad rap due to its weight.
Can the Polaris out perform the bigger Gizzly ????????

 

IMO 500HO polaris and 660 Grizzly are very close in performance ... i may this statement based on riding with an 660 a few times. BUT i've never draged or top speed raced him.
