Main Bearings
#1
My main bearings are really loose are making noise. My question is, after I tear it down and pull the bearings can't I just take the main bearings to a bearing shop and just match the style and size of bearing and sell me universal ones. OEM mains cost $24 a piece!! I could probably get them for under $5. My dad does this all the time with harley main bearings?? Any thoughts.. Thanks, Paul

Thats what I did when I rebuilt my 94 TrailBlazer, I went to Motion Industry and got mine, bought 2 there for what I got 1 at the dealer. Just rember that you don't want sealed bearings and if they give you some you can easliy remove the seals.

When I re-did my bottom end on my 400 I got the parts from polaris.
Well I ruined a seal putting it in, and tried to get one from a bearing supply store. they couldnt get it. They said that these were prob made especially for polaris by temkin or whoever.
Its worth a try tho. U may have better luck than me. Those suckers are HIGH from Polry!
