I'm also getting mine from Canada and they told me that the second shipment is coming in in November, however my dealer is on the east coast so it may be different. How much are you getting yours for in US funds? I'm getting mine for $6000. Hope this helps.

I don't know anything about warranty problems with Canadian models. What is the deal on that. I hope there won't be any problems like that but if there is I will have to learn to live with it casue after all I'm saving almost $1000. Later

from what I'am told, canadian models will not have a warranty in the U.S. The v.i.n. or warranty will not even show as a good number on the computer or warranty system.I'am about 3 hours from the border
so if anything major happens I can run myn back to a canadian dealer. On small stuff you can take care of your self or have the dealer mail the part if you have a good dealer. Also make sure when you pick yours up to get a "M.S.O."(manufacturers certificate of origin) it makes licensing much easier.

raptorron:

Wow! This is the first I've heard about ANY New Raptor warranty problems. What possible reason could Yamaha have for not repairing a Canadian-bought Raptor, here, at one of their shops in the U.S. ?????

I don't even think treatment like that is legal.

BTW...please re-post a Report on how well your New Raptor handles Spinreel Hill.

Best of luck, and watch out for the speedy Reverse.

I am also about 3 hours from my dealer. I bought a snowmobile from him so I have delt with him before so if I have problems with it i'm sure he will take care of it for me. He sells a ton of ATV's and snowmobiles to NY'ers so I am sure he is used to the situation. By the way is your dealer charging you any taxes and did you figure out how much it will cost to bring it through customs? Later

duty is 2.5%,G.S.T tax as well as provincial tax should be waived because it is leaving the country. It does not look like I will have my raptor for my Oregon dunes trip I'm leaving thursday and have heard nothing from the dealer that promised me his #1 raptor, Otherwise I would have had it by now and even had it broke in !!!

I e-mailed a dealer in Canada and he said that I would have to have my dealer in Canada call a dealer near me with the VIN number and they can put it in the computer. Even if it doesn't work I can make the short trip to Canada.
