Oh yeah, try this one on for size...

Troyer, I remember seeing redbullssg on the AZBADBOYZ forum so I typed it into Google and evidently he uses this name in all the forums that he participates in. I think the best one to get a hold of him in is the R/C monster truck forum, this looks like his most recent posts.

I sign up for that RC site, but the forums are down formaintenance i guess. Have to wait awhile.

I am trying to find a shock for the rear to make it sit higher up, and give it long travel. The set-up he has looks cool. Anyone else done anything like him?

All right, all right all ready! LOL, I better cover my tracks a little more, A? Well, I think I got you on track Troyer, right?

I frequent many forums, but usually during that season. I mean in the summer, I am here, along with RSWARRIOR.com, winter, usually the sled forums, but I recently have gotten back into RC's. Monster Trucks are bad azz. I bought an HPI Savage S25 RTR. If you think that I am crazy, check out some vids of one. I almost get the same thrill out of jumping my truck as I do my Scrambler. Totally controlable in the air, more so than a quad with throttle and break. You have to see it to know what I mean. My friends were like " I can't believe you paid 500bucks for a toy". First of all, it isn't a toy, and once they saw it in action, they want one...

Well, if anyone needs any info, don't hesitate to ask. As you can see, I can be tracked down somewhere, I guess that is why I use the same user name, I have nothing to hide...

I learned something also, I looked at the Warhead R/C truck specs and that little 4.4CC motor has a peak of 2.5 HP. If my 400 put out 2.5 HP per 4.4CCs that would be about 220HP WOW!

P.S. I've always thought those trucks were bad azz

look at the rpms those things turn!!! its insane. ive seen some that turn 50,000. its nuts how they can do taht with the tight clearences they run. its gotta be tight since they dont run piston rings. how else would they get it to seal. its jsut amazing how they get little things like that to work.

If you were to do a leak down test on a brand new one, you would find that they don't seal all that great. They just fire and exhaust to fast that it doesn't need to hold that compression very long. The oil in the nitro fuel help seal it. But yes, they are very tight... They have come a long way since I first started when I was 13yrs old. If I wanted to have something like this then, I would have paid over 1500bucks, and it still wouldn't have came close to the way they are built today... It is like a real truck. Full on everything, differentials that you can even get lockers for, you can change the gear ratios, and there are so many upgrades for it, it is unbelievable. Hell, they have more versions of pipes and silencers for my Savy, than they do for my Scrambler!

I was looking at the Warhead, but as I predicted, they didn't meet their release date. It looks very much like the Savage set up, but a little better. I haven't seen any reviews on it as of yet. Heck it is even a better deal, that is, if it is as durable as the Savage... We'll see...

And you can do alot to those motors to get more, uh, ummm, pony out of it, LOL... Mine, the s25ci, which is 4.1cc's puts out a little more than 2hp, but with some very easy porting and polishing, you can get a very reliable 3hp. And on something that only weighs 11lbs, the is a great deal.
