I have thought of selling my 00'400EX this season to start another project. I am trying to figure out how to get the most return from it. In Dallas Texas the cheapest you can buy one is $6000 out the door (and they are all sold). I have $2000 in bolt ons and mods to my bike, and the 4 year $400 factory warranty. How much depriciation does a 400 have? I would like half of my accesory money back out, I could cash out the extended warranty or sell it to the next guy. Or should I pull my accesories and sell them on Ebay etc. Or keep my stock parts and sell them?? I have the White Brothers rev box, K&N/Outerwear, AC Pro pegs w/ custom heli arc'd mud shields, full Graydon skids/bumper, Renthal bars/grips, Pro Design kill sw., Jet kit, Magellan 150 GPS, Big Gun full pipe, Shockwears. The thing is when some one compares this to a stock one they love the feel and power but feel like they should get it for the same damn price.. Thanks for your input guys.

i think you would get the most if you sold the bike stock and the aftermarket parts on ebay

If you have the time, pull off the mods. Just like in anything, you will never get what you put into your bike, so you might as well have it be stock since thats the price people are willing to pay. ANd try and sell some of your mods to the person who wants to buy your bike stock. Good Luck- and let me know what you want for the mods. I just bought a new 2001 400ex and am looking for some mods before I head to the sand. I am posted in the Honda section.

Same here, I'd take the mods off before selling it.

If you do decide to break it down, I'd be interested in some of your mods too. I have a completely stock '01.

My next purchase will be Shockwears and a full skid plate.

Good luck and hope you get what you want for it.
