Default 300ex loose axle/swing arm carrier - questions

Just picked up a 300ex and noticed that the carrier in the back of the swing arm is loose. ie axles move around. Is it a difficult job to replace the bearings and seals in there? Is that what typically wears out? Any feedback on issues back there would be greatly appreciated. Its a 1995.

hey i just replaced mine on my 88 trx250x. staright up job. you make sure you get a set of snap ring pliers, like 15 bucks at sears. take my advice and buy new o-rings for the job, dont try to use your old ones, will save you time in the future. you can get the hub on a popular auctions site for about $125 it will come with bearings and seals all ready installed, just grease it and throw it in.
