I finally got my raptor somewhat broke in.Today my friend ,who has a stock banshee, and I rode in a big dirt pit with hills, jumps and long flat straight-a-ways.We were joined by several other guys with 400ex,cr250, 300ex,warrior,blaster,and a few others. On soft dirt in first the raptor pulls them all with the 400ex right along side.Second gear, starts easing away from the 400ex,the banshee is still following ,but close, and the cr is starting to get traction.Third gear is awesome, the banshee is falling back a little more fighting the 400 for 3rd the cr is still coming strong .Forth gear the banshee and the 400 are about 3-4 lenghts back, the cr is right beside me. Fifth gear the cr starts easing by. The race is about 250 yds. On asphault the race is closer until the raptors midrange kicks in and starts pulling the 400ex and the banshee. The cr250 is ahead but only about 2 lenghts. You can't take off without clutching it or you'll have a road rash on the back of your head. Although I do not plan on racing every time I ride with friends,we could'nt help but run will all of those different models of dirt eaters.

I've raced a CR250 with my Banshee, and he smoked me off the line, and then I passed him on the top end. Sort of the opposite of what happened when you raced him.

Are you telling us that the banshee and the 400 were neck and neck in 4th gear? Is this for real? Surely not! If so, I must have bought the wrong quad.

Have the guy with the banshee take off in 2nd gear and revv it harder next time, the banshee will blow off the 400ex this way.

I raced my friends 370 banshee on my 400ex and i had a lead into 3rd and thats when he flew by me, and i mean flew. But he has his 310r going so his Banshee is for sale and that r kicks. Once a Banshee hooks up it should pass a 400 but it shouldn't take till 4th to do it.
