Default TRX450R - HotCams Stage 1 Question

I was just wondering if anyone has put a HotCams stage 1 in their R? Is there a big difference? One of my only complaints about the R is how little bottom end it has, and would really like to broaden the powerband a bit.

I'm getting ready to dive into checking the valve clearances for the first time, and thought about sticking in a better cam since I would already be in there.

Default TRX450R - HotCams Stage 1 Question

I didn't get any response when I asked about using either a stage I or stage II. Which was better for my type of riding. Mostly trails with some dunes.
A friend asked his mechanic and said a stage II would be best.
I have geared down to a 13 tooth on the front.
I was concerned about losing bottom end with a stage II but was told it would be a good choice.
