chain ajustment ??
#1
I just put a 17 tooth cog on and trimed the case saver . But I have the chain fully ajusted out and with my weight on the bike i don't think it is enough play. what can I do? 1/2 INCH TO 5/8 IS ALL IT HAS. The book said 3/4 to 1 inch. This will wear the axle bearings out faster???

do you have a stock chain? if so i recomend you get a dremel, cut it off and throw it in the garbage if ya do. get a aftermarket chain and you can buy links at any bike shop with a master link you can snap in place youself. justl ike on bicycles. dont use a link press to press fit links on cause ya got to cut it off everytime you want to break the chain. if you got a aftermarket chain just go get some links and a master.

Chain too tight will wear out all drive line componets faster, add a link, or if you are lucky maybe you can find someone with a half link. They used to make them, but disco'd them a long time ago.
Anyway, get some slack back in the chain.
Good luck!

YES, you can add links to stocker. your totally right lilnotts. i just figured that if your taking off the stocker it may be a good idea to replace it with a good o-ring chain like a rk or did or sidewinder. my stocker wore out so quick and cost me alot of problems on the trail. your right though.
