another sprocket question

Default another sprocket question
when u flaten the washer thing do u bend it on the new sprocket? and doent it weaken it

yes, you bend it. it keeps the nut from backing off.
Yes it weakens it but as long as you don't beat the crap out of it you should be ok for a few changes. Then its time for a new one.

Or you can bend it in a new spot also. But i wouldnt do that until you are sure its gonna break.
