I was just wondering where everybody bought there 426 kits. I have only seen LRD's kit, for $214. What did you guys pay, What would be the best compression, 10:5:1, or 10:8:1.

I was under the impression that the 426 was just a piston? What is up with the price? I know the 440 needs a sleeve.....

Call JE directly, I just bought an 87mm piston (415cc), price - $130 + shipping for the piston, plasma moly rings and a wristpin...

Gabe,
How crazy are you gonna get? Are you using any of the "tuners" set-ups as a model?

Hey Rob

I am staying pretty mild this time. We're doing the 87mm JE piston @ 10.8:1

Factory XR400 Cam - very similar to the Web cam 450/451 grind.

Factory XR250 CDI Box

Some porting of the head and cleaning up of the factory header pipe.

That's about it, this go around. It should be similar to the "midrange 38hp" package offered by CT Racing - a few less CC's but a little more compression.

I'll have to look when I get home.

You should be able to call them, they have 2 guys that are dedicated to the motorcycle side, they'll know exactly what you are talking about.

I talked with John

714-898-9763 ext 215 or 273

They are pretty busy, if you don't get them right away, leave a message and they will call back on their dime.

If you still want me to get the part number I can do that too.... Mine is an 87mm @ 10.8:1
