Trentk,

I havent done any ashpalt draging yet, but we will be this summer. We are getting some 20" jr. dragster slicks to run. As far as times go, I have no idea what the DS motor will turn. I can say, that I had the HP research Genisis motor last summer, and I hit 69 mph in 300 foot on dirt in 3rd gear with 22" knobbies. ( stock gearing) I would think that a 660 foot run with that setup would hit aroun 80 - 85. Dont really know. Im looking forward to hitting the asphalt for the first time. I dont know what to expect with handling, so Im going to take it fairly easy at first.

My best times were in the high 7's with 93 mph runs. This was over a year ago with a stage three on NOS with a 4 inch swing arm and a wheelie bar. The launch was way too violent. need to lengthen out the swing arm at least another 4 to 6 inches for a good asphault launch and run. (those runs were with me at 240lbs to 250lbs)

This year I am thinking I will be a little faster If I can keep the front end down and the clutch together.

Like I said, the launch was horrible. My 60 foot times were horrible and my 300 ft times were not so great. I made most of my time up on the big end (The NOS is good for that).

This was at KCIR here in Kansas city. Their speed traps should be top notch, but I can't tell you for sure.

This is what they gave me, I am not pulling these number's out of my.....Thin air....

88 mph sounds too low for 7.26 unless he is running out of gear and hitting the revlimiter. I had a Lightning that ran 7.70 @ 93mph. I know there is a big wieght difference there but you would have to get one heck of a 60' time to go 7.20s @ 88mph.

BTW my 60' was a 1.70 in the Lightning.

pretty much stock except for K&N ,jet kit,and gutted stock end cap. stock gearing.60ft 2.24 1/8 9.45@70.68

i moved on to a RWR stage2 stock gearing, stock tires. 60ft 2.19 1/8 9.096@73.81

RWR stage 2 strapped the front down .stock gearing stock tires.but with the front strapped down, got that better 60 ft. 60ft 1.92 1/8 8.80@73.71

same as before, added slicks and a wheelie bar. notice the lightweight of the slicks uped my MPH by 3 60ft 1.68 1/8 8.22@76.50

same as before, added alchohol 60ft 1.60 1/8 8.01@78.86

strapping down the front definately helps, you just can't go too far, you'll have to reset your toe. i was running MT then but I bought a set of American Racing , they do good. stock gearing should carry you fine on either. any questions, don't hesitate to email or pm me. Good Luck!!
