Default Buying a 2nd Polaris

I bought my first ATV in August and planning on buying another sometime this year. I have a Magnum 4x4, although is is fine for me but my girfriend wants one too and we talked and she like mine and would take it and I will buy a bigger one. Now here is my issue... I don't know what to get, I want at least a 500... Should wait for the rumors to come true for the EFI or go with the HO? Second question is... With the mods I have on my mag all can be move to a Sportsmen, right? (winch, glasier plow) with the right mounts of course.... or should I buy new even though she will be with me ever time she rides....

a 500HO EFI would be cool ... but i would get the current 2005 500HO (i just can't wait to see if an EFI comes out, there also may be growning pains) ... I would get a new winch, but move the plow over. Having an extra winch on the trail is always good.

you could sell the mag and buy two 500's or trade it in and see what they will give you for it and see if they will give you a price break if you buy two machines! the winch and glacier blade will transfer but only with the new mounting brackets/hardware. about what to go with, I would wait for the 500EFI to come out. man I wish Polaris had a 500EFI out when I was shopping, I would have gotten that instead of my 700EFI. the 500 have alot of power and plenty for the riding I do.

I was in the same spot your in. I was looking for a 4x4, thing around the 500 that I can go mudding in and get in and out of some bad situations. I came across the bombardier Outlander 400. Did a lot of reading on it. It out performs the 500s of its class and has a lot of great new features. It was named ATV of the year too. Something to look in to.
