portable air compressor
#1
Does anyone carry one of those small portable air compressors that you plug into the aux lighter outlet? I have one and was thinking it would be a good idea to carry one when on long rides or out in the middle of nowhere. I even bought like 6 or 7 of them recently at Meijer's cause they had them on sale for $6 and were originally $17, I got them basically for christmas gift for next season cause both my sisters and my wifes two sisters are always wanting to use mine. I bought a new one for me and the wife too. so i was thinking of keeping the old one for the quad. now that I think about it I may want to invest into one of those storage bags for the back rack, anyone know where to get them cheap?

I keep one of those air compressors is my stuff when I go riding real handy. I had a soft bag that went on the back the only problem was with all the stuff in there and riding rough terrian it would rub against my rack extender and make a hole in it. I had the wife sew it up a few times but I decided to go with a hard plastic box.

I bought a real cheap chinese one at the hardware store that I keep in the drybox under the seat. Definitely a very useful tool. Good when you want to air down for riding in different stuff. Like on-board-air on a Jeep but a lot cheaper!

Cabelas. What's nice about this one is it has velcro straps and can be removed easily. I usually use this on the rear of my quad for local riding but when I head out deep in the sticks, I put it on the front and put a different one on the back.
Cabelas Rack Bag
This one is similar to my "deep sticks" rear rack bag.

Or check this out.
Allen Bags on Ebay
You can try to get a setup like this on ebay or if you have a Gander Mountain store in your area, they sell this kit for $50.

I carry a small compressor also. The one thing I have been unable to find is an inner tube for the ATV tires. It is difficult to plug a rip in the sidewall...but you can stitch it together with baling wire and tube it to get home...I have done it on 33 and 35 inch jeep tires.

I always have one in the rear storage on my '05 700 EFI. I use a Campbell from Walmart, they work great and are inexpensive.
I also carry two different plug kits....along with a bunch of other goodies...

bullet,
I have one in each of my vehicles and carry one out with me when I ride the trails. I use it all the time during my pre ride inspections.
I bought one from mijers as a x-mas gift too, good deal.
I have one of those $20 wheeled lifts for my triton too, its been good so far (didn't get it at Harbor Freight though).
