Well I guess it is clear out there now. I had mine for almost 11 months and am very happy with my RED ES. I have read alot of posts on alot of forums, and never heard to many bad things said about these quads, I figure Honda did a real good job.

I agree, there isn't a better midsized quad out there, bar none!

6 months & zero problems.

Here, here! I'll second that. My red Racher 4X4 is as fast on the trails as many sport ATV's. My friends are amazed at how quick it is on the trails. It does everything very well. No ES though, just personal pref.

Mark me down as a satisfied owner...my Rancher is so awesome.. I used it just today to pull the driveshaft apart on my 15' mower--it is a totally awesome machine that runs like a kitty cat.

Im about to be a happy Rancher owner. Im getting mine this weekend. I think im gonna go with the green Rancher 4x4 es 2001. Does that sound like a winner ? Can you guys shift as fast on the electric shift as you can on the petal ?

I am happy with mine too. I've heard the Rancher described as doing everything well. Its not the most powerful, fastest, or best handling, but it does seem to be the the best combination of all of these features.
I trailride, work and hunt with my quad and I have been happy with my choice of the Rancher.
And yes, the ES has worked fine so far and the limited slip diff works too.

Honda has the perfect quad for almost every use with the Rancher. Even better, is it has a package that will be able to be improved over time to stay competative even longer than the old 300's. I love my Rancher, and it will go anywhere the Big Bores will, just not quite as fast.
