Default elka or tcs???

I've been looking for some upgrade in the ride department. TCS has the better price , and they will rebuild my rear for a 3rd the $ as ELKAS ,but do they perform??
maybe only the front for now.. my arms and shoulders can't take 3 or 4 days of hard riding!!! I will be dune riding 95% of the time..

just put on a +5 swing from ace fab. Great guys at Ace. quality, service great!! the swing went on with little trouble. Rode the bike around a little and it feels great!! hope it holds up!! The stock shock works great so far. softer and more useable travel !!

talked to kelly at kms on fri. still no turbos. I'll just have to wait.. ..funny...bone stock ds w/ +5 swing??!!

I have 5 #s of boost and still have my stock swing arm. I have a little trouble with the front lifting but this season I have only been riding in wet sand, which = more traction.

What kind of turbo system you planning on to need 5" swingarm?

I just got back this weekend from trying out the new Elka Dune Edition shocks. Although I have never had TCS, I can tell you that I was pleasantly surprised how well I liked the Elkas. Im not sure the price tag is worth it, but my kidneys are happy!

I've got Elkas on my 400EX, and have friends that run both TCS, and PEP. All of them are excellent shocks. I think the real concern is the amount of time it takes to actually receive the shocks from the builder. My Elkas arrived in less than 2 weeks. Both of my friends waited along time to receive their's, a month or longer, if I remember correctly.
When I can swing the extra dough for shocks, then I'll probably get Elkas again. The Triple rate, zero preload, w/out rezzies are really cheap, and a great shock. They are ride height adjustable ,etc.

I had TCS do my rear shock last year and it is great. They set it up perfect and I had to do was bolt in on. It made a huge difference on my quad.

I would go TCS. Todd at TCS has spent allot of time on DS650 setups. It should take 2-3 weeks to get them.

I got mine through Elka, but I believe Duncan also sells them, as well as dealers all over. I got my order in about 2 weeks.

The thing I like about these compared to my Works shocks, is that I dont get beat up when the sand is rough. Usually, you have to get above 25mph to get the Works to smooth out, then you can run over anything, and hardly notice it. But so many times I'm just having fun on the dunes, jumping the razor backs, and going on the trails. These Elka DEs solve the problem of low speed smoothness. At any speed, it feels like the sand has turned into butter. I just set the compression to soft and the rebound ring to soft, and its all good. Dont get me wrong, I love my Works, but I also really love these new Elkas - I dont know if the price was worth it... each will have to decide that on thier own.

good!! i just ordered a set of elka's piggy back w/comp adjust for $1095. no problem for them setting up for the busa and they asked all the right questions. i thought about stealing the kings off the 760 but i don't plan to motocross or jump much with the busa ,just want it ride thru the dunes without bottoming out.
