I have a buddy with a 03 Scrambler 500, he has a hot seat pipe......he wants some more hp. What can he do? He had the clutch kit from hot seat, and it broke some buttons off. So he's back to stock clutch, and has been for a while.

 

Air box mod will help but the clutching is where the biggest gains are. It doesn't add HP it puts it where you want it. HPD clutch and team secordary is where you will get the most gain.

 

A pipe, air box mod, K&N and clutch kit will help but then you're easily talking $500-$600 plus more if he wants a roller clutch. I agree with Drttrack97 about the clutch kit and roller clutch.

How much money is he wanting to spend?

 

I don't know what he's wanting to spend, The dealer said he would give him around $3,000 trade in for the 05 Predator. I need to see what he wants to do, I think he wants to keep the 4x4.

 

There's always Four Stroke Tech. I think I kinda know how your friend feels now. I was wanting more power from the Scrambler and wanted a Predator BAD, but dropping the 4x4 was just too hard to do.

 

Have him get a TEAM roller secondary clutch from HPD or Rick. He could put the primary spring and weights back in or have HPD or Rick set him up with a different set. Then HPD's airbox mod. Thats about it short of ripping into the motor
