I was wondering if anybody else's school has or had brand new 250r and 350x engines, I mean still in the plastic. Well my school has about 6 that are just collecting dust and I am gonna try to talk somebody into letting me purchase them. From what I can tell all the wires coming from the stator have been cut right outside fo the cover. I guess these are the ones left over from the factory after they quit making them. How much would these engines be worth?

I am a senior. The engines are in a shop building. They study some small engines, But they don't even use those engines for anything that I know of.

If you don't mind could you find out what they would take for a 250R engine. I really wouldn't mind having a brand new one. BTW, I'm in Pontotoc, MS. Is your town in north or south Bama?? Thanks

Brandon

I just went to a map on the net and turns out you're not far from me at all. I'm in Northeast MS and looks as though you're in Northwest AL. If they don't want to give up a R motor I wouldn't turn down a 350X motor either. (been thinking of doing conversion) Please find out, pleeeeeaaaasssseeee, I would ruther have a new motor than just rebuilding my old one, unless your school wants an unreasonable price for them. Thanks

Brandon PS: Where do you ride most at? Ever rode in MS?

Well I went down to the ag building today to get some stuff from our homecoming float. The Teacher, Mr McCreless, got all spastic on me so I left. And I am afraid he is the one who I will have to talk to about the motors.....This sucks. Maybe there is someone else over him I could talk to?? I will have to see- Don't worry thos babys aren't going anywhere!

I bought a Brand new 86 350X engine back in 95. My engine was from a brand new 86 350X that was melted down when the Gov said no more 3 wheelers. Honda took out the engines first and donated them to the motorcycle schools as teaching aides.

I purchased my engine from an engine builder who knew someone at the school that allowed them to be sold. It was ported and polished and built up for $ 1400. It is still in my 89 350RX. Runs like a champ. Best conversion I ever did. I was able to sell my old 250R motor, radiator, wiring harness to CT racing in CA for $ 500.00.
