CED, I think what he means is the actual offset of the two as measured from behind. I have that in the book at the house. Bob (polarisfreak) has the clutch tool and might chime in if he has it handy.

Look on hpd's website under tech help, they brake down how to totally align the clutches! It's new info and it's good stuff! Darrell will also be posting more info soon on clutching to help people better understand!

Sadly there are some people who dont need to try and understand clutching. It can definitely rack your brain By the way, I dont mean people in this forum.

I have the clutch tunning hand book by aaen but it doesn't give a off set for the two clutches and the book doesn't go that deep into tunning and testing . but, it does give you a good understanding of how it works.
I also have the clutch aline tool from hot seat but it doesn't work on my comet drive clutch.
anyone still using the comet???

not really. I never got it perfect but , i did get it useable. I used a silver spring and 10/56 weights.
I did however get it to engage lower by shimming it.
