Im looking to see which would be better for me to get a raptor or a z400. im 115 6'1 165lbs and i do alot of road riding and riding on my track. the biggest jumps i do r maybe 60ft at the most. so Help me out please?!?!

 

You don't already have a Z? Name and gallery suggest you do. I just bought a Z over a Raptor, for the simple reason I thought the Z was a better deal. I'm a Yamaha fan, but this Suzuki is very impressive to me, and I love it (so far). Either will do what you want, but the Raptor always will have "more potential". The Z (stock): corners better, good suspension, lighter. Raptor (stock): Quicker, better top speed. They're both good quads, you'll probably have to ride both to decide which you like better.

 

i have an 03 z400 but i hear the 05's have been improved alot as well as the raptors

 

IMO the upgrades to the 05 dont warrant buying another one. You can probably upgrade your current machine for less than the cost of selling yours and buying new.

The z is a better machine for the track and sounds like a better machine for you.

 

Get a Raptor!...................Zs aren't that fast.

 

if you do get a another z400 give the old one to me for free lol just kidding, but if you do get another z take off all the stuff you put on it like nerf bars and rims and put the stock rims back on it and sale it as stock unless you didnt keep you stock rims that my opinion

 

this coming from someone who owns a 400eX??? Z400's are fast as hell, same with the raptors. Just keep your Z, its a gread machine.

I've ridden a '03 raptor and my '03 Z400. The raptor I rode, didn't seem to responsive through all the power bands versus my Z400 was responsive all the way through[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Now, this could of been because of the way the raptor was set up. I can tell you, the difference was enough for a friend of mine, to go with the Z400 instead of the raptor. (And the raptor was his brother's) The raptor did sit a little higher, but, it didn't bother me. By the way, I rode it at Pismo/Oceano[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

get the Z you'll be better off in the long run
