Default Rekluse Auto-Clutch on 400EX?

Wow, it's been awhile. Computer's been down for a good few months and haven't been able to post for a long time. Glad to be back. Anyway, I'm looking to buy either a 400EX or Z/KFX400 this summer for a fast toy and keep the Rubi for hunting and mudding. The clutch kind of intimidates me because I grew up on an auto-clutch 5-speed and now I have an automatic. Is the Rekluse Z-start Auto Clutch that DirtWheels tested available for the 400EX? The only Honda quad on the website was a 450R. If not, why? Are they working on one? This is just yet another big factor that is leaning me towards a Z400 instead of a 400EX. I would love to have the Honda though if this product can be made available for the EX.

One good afternoon in the saddle and you won't need that Rekluse. I wouldn't be afraid of the manual clutch, they are fairly easy to master. The last i knew, there wasn't a Rekluse available for the 400ex. My personal feeling is that this kit helps if you race for long time periods or have dead engine starts, or with the hi perf. engines that don't lug down to low revs well. One thing the 400ex has going for it is great low end, and it isn't a top choice of racers anymore. Looks like that company is putting it's R&D into other quads first.

The Rekluse isn't available for the 400ex. After a couple rides you'll get used to it.
