'05 Z400 Shocks on Older Models
#2
They will definately bolt right up. They have the same travel and whatnot as the old shocks, and nothing else in the suspension has changed. The only thing is, it might not be worth it to pay for them. Here's a quick story that might explain why, different quad, same situation.
My buddy has a 03' Raptor. He wanted to upgrade to YFZ stock rezzies to save a little money and still get that same performance (they bolt right up by the way). We went to our local dealership and got a price quote for the new shocks . . . $430 . . . a piece. Yeah. You might as well buy Works shocks!
So, granted, while Yamaha is indeed not Suzuki, I would expect the same from them.

Those prices are hilarious! I'm glad I opened this thread to take a peak. I'd check ebay too. I've seen so many YFZ fronts (although a bit more common) go as a pair for $100-$200. Did the rear shock change too? Just the fronts, right?
