Default straight pipes on a ds650

i was wondering if anyone has done this and if it would work on a ds 650. a straight pipe just like they make on orange county choppers. and make it dual exhaust, then take it to get chromed or jet hot coated. am i crazy or has someone else tryed this before. noise is no concern for me.

I ran across a guy in LS that had done that. His graydon had been" used up" So he canibilized it into duals under the bike , if I recall correctly. Very loud, marginal power. Didn't outrun my kids stocker.

Like dual exhaust drag racing sticking out to the side where the footpeg is. LTE makes a dual, and theirs goes under the frame, two exhaust sticking out.

I did try duals drag pipes and they just did not work out the ds needs pipe tuning of some type i ended up putting super traps on the end and tuned them with disc.

MrHP sells an open drag pipe like your asking about.
It will make horse power on a built motor.
If your putting it on a motor that hasnt been ported, high comp piston, and cams, your pretty much wasting time cuz the open pipe will flow too much exhaust for a stock motor.

You are correct AZsand, and I would add that it has several engineered steps and planned diameter changes.

And that pipe beat 90% of the quads at Aledo last summer on a STOCK DS650. What it couldn't beat, the old TT bike took care of with the same pipe on it. It also took the Bolt On class at the SE Nationals.
It makes phenomenal power on a stock motor.

What do you think, ChooseToLoose04?

so i went to advanced auto today and bought 25 $ worth of exhaust tubing . and as soon as the weather permits me to work comfortably outside im planning on using my rwr headpipes and from there im going to run1 1/2" pipe to where the battery box is and just like the rwr pipe on the other side, ( im removing my airbox and mounting my battery under the seat first ) it turns into 2" pipe at the end , the tips will be right beside the tailight on both sides then im thinking about have the tips turnt down like the rwr, then to finish it off im going to get it chromed. what do ya guys think
