Default Scrambler 50 starter relay

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the starter relay on a Scrambler 50 with an aftermarket one?? The starter button quit working and I think I've narrowed it down to the relay, I just hate to spend $40 for a OEM relay, there has to be an aftermarket relay out there that will work, does anyone have any info on this???

Try: http://www.partsland.com/index.cgi?N...&P=Polaris-ATC

Note: I don't see too many minis on their Web site. You may have to phone them to inquire if they sell the part you are looking for. Many companies don't put their complete inventory on a web site. Even special order could be less expensive the buying directly from Polaris.

Hope this helps....

I did some testing on my own and made a standard relay work in place of the $40 oem relay, you just have to modify the wiring a little, very basic and very simple. If anyone else runs into a problem with the starter relay, just let me know and I'll let you know how to wire up a stadard Bosch style relay in place. This may be the same for the 90's as well, not sure, but I can't see them being that much different.
