i know this is proabley silly but what is it and were would it go? i have a 05 scrambler and when i got my wb exaust it came with what i belive to be a pre filter. any help?

 

Its just an outerwear pretty much .. it just slips over your filter itself

 

Its a lot better than an AFTER FILTER! That would be picking junk out of your Carburator!!!!
Its panty hose like fine mesh fabric that goes around/over your air filter thus the moniker of PRE filter.
DUH! SILLY!

Are you sure it is called a pre filter. Did it come with an air cleaner? Just wondeing why they sent a preflter with your pipe

 

heh ya im not sure what it is. it may be the wrong air filter im not sure... its not a pre filter from what iv gather info as. it says power filter i think on it. its a red foam cylinder but is open on both ends kind of like a sweat band shape and then a grey the same shape but is foam wraped in something hard. i dunno i sound really dumb. did the 05 scrammys get a air box change from 04? my stock air filter looks just like a k.n type style and it already has a mesh "pre-filter". the foam think w-b sent me with my pipe is in no way a air filter for my quad. and if it is im missing something....
