i have a 2003 z400 and i was riding the other day and the fans broke on my radiator do u think it will still run good with out the fans and just the radiator cause i mean the wind itself from riden will help i think?

 

Well if just your fan is just broken and your rad is fine it should be good. Depends on what kind of riding you do. If your on open trails or road where you maintain a good speed then youll be fine. I dont have my fan come on till i get in trails where im in 1st-3rd and im slowing lots and then punchin out of cornes alot and such.

 

I'm sure you'll be temporarily okay. But I wouldn't run her too long or too hard. They designed the cooling system with a radiator fan for a reason. Don't sit home bored because of it, just order the part and be careful with the bike in the meantime.

 

My fan rarely comes on. Maybe only when pulling a big dune in warm weather. Still, I would replace it before the warm weather returns.

 

If you do end up replacing your fan,Do not get a factory replacement thay sux.. lol

definately get the fan Z butcher recommended...i did and its 100 times better then the stock unit and i ended up paying 71 dollars shipped for the unit

stock piece was like 200 i believe and it would end up doing the same thing...mine died cuz of water in the unit
