shouldnt a 2 stroke smoke?

Shouldnt a 2 stroke engine always smoke a little,especially when you rev it? my 88 lt250 doesnt smoke hardly at all after warm up

Only if your jetting or mix is too rich. Once its warmed up it really shouldnt smoke all that much, maybe a little when you clean it out but not all the time.
