Default SPROCKET CHANGE OK?

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to replace a 38 tooth rear sprocket with a 40 tooth sprocket without illaffecting the 300 express it would go on. The bike stock is 13-38 I was going to go to 13-40.
I am guessing that I will just get a bit better low end take off power. Trail riding mostly. Thanks for any help.

Yes as long as that atv is not a 4 wheel drive it will not hurt anything. And yes it will affect your low end but you will lose some top speed.
