Default Newbie needs help

I am looking at buying a 98 scrambler. I went to look at it the other day and everything seems fine except the left front cv shaft has about 1/32nd in. play where it mounts to the differential. If it is just the shaft I am not worried about it but what do I look for to make sure there are no problems with the diff?

the front axles will get a little play around the yokes and shafts in the front. if its the shaft itself in the gearcase then it could be a sign of bearing wear. other things to look for: play in the swingarm bushings, bent axles, bent front drive shaft going to the front diff, these are just a few things to look for other than the obvious. if the play was alot more than you're saying then i would be concerned.
