i have a 05 300ex and i hat the look of the front fenders, i want to cut them but i dont want them to look bad. got any ideas.

 

yea ive been wanting to cut my 250ex fenders.. i saw some guys and they look bad.{awsome}. but i dont wont to cut umm and there all crooked so if anybody has any ideas i would like to know to.

 

Use a sharpie to draw the lines you like. Once the lines look good, grab the jig saw.

Take your time and they will look good.

 

Tape them off first with an opposite color tape so youcan tell if you have them even and get an idea what they will look for. With the added advantage of it not being permanate, kind of like measure twice cut once.

 

i say use a die grinder and not a jig saw

 

Die grinders do more melting than cutting.

 

dremmel with a cutting wheel. and touch up with the sanding wheel. cuts like butter. mark it first with a dry erase marker. saw zal and jig saw will work but its easier with a dremmel.

 

I also want to cut my 300's front fenders but I don't wnt them to look like crap. I want them to look like full bore fronts. I have a post on the ex riders website about this and I also have a pic there aswell. I still want the fenders to stop mud and water I just want them too look better!

 

As if you know how to cut them!
As Tractor packer says, mark them with a sharpie where you want them cut and then have someone who know's what they're doing cut them with a jig saw or dremel or rotozip.
I used a jig saw on Tractorpacker's and then sanded down the edges. They look great, right TP?
