Default 140 HP sport twisted transmission in frame

I ran my sport with the 140 hp snowmobile engine in it the other day. I had problems with the transmission twisting in the frame. I am building an outboard bearing and support for the transmission to keep this from happening. I made a video of it running on the jack stands. Thewayout420 posted it on his web site. "SMOKE TEST"

If that was my quad, the tranny would of done a 360 the first time I mashed the throttle.
Gas it now and make sure what it will do, so you get your bracing in the right places.

I do have a jackshaft between the driven clutch and the tranny. I had to use an Eagle pd belt drive to handle the high rpm. The problem came when I loaded the eagle belt to the proper tension then ran the motor hard it pulled on the tranny and twisted it in the frame. The outboard bearing on the transmission shaft will compensate for the added stress on the tranny and cure this problem. I had a custom shaft made for the tranny to accept the eagle sheave. Luckily I had it made a couple on inches longer so the outboard bearing will be pretty easy. I thought I might have this problem. I plan on moving the seat forward an building a pad behind it. Maybe a six pack cooler.
