Rincon starting problems....
#1
i have an 03 rincon 650 and some times it seems like its flooded out but its not. insted of saying N on the cluster, it has two dash marks then it wont start. but if you let it sit for 10 seconds and turn it on it will show N and fire right up. does anyone else experience these problems

The first thing I would try is to check the battery connections and make sure they are tight. They are notorious for loosening up and strange things happen if they do. Go to the rincon owners forum and you will probably find the answers to any Rincon question that you may have. ( http://www.rincon.atvowners.com ). Good Luck!

Yes, I had starting problems a couple of times after it set for a couple weeks. I don't know if this means anything but turn the key on for a minute or so B/4 you hit the starter button. This leaves the carb heater do it's thing.

Yes, I had the same problem, it was the battery terminal being loose

Try draining the carb before you start it. This stuff they now call gas doesn't take very long to go flat. What's left in your carb is what your machine will start on when you start it next time, and it goes "away" a lot quicker than what's in your tank.

I drained the tank but not the car, the manual shows a primer on the carb that appears to be on the lower side of the bowl. That'll be a good way to push the old gas through. I'll try that today and see what happens.

No, the primer comes in handy when it's about 0F, but it's not what you want to drain the carb. Turn your gas off at the valve, and find the flat blade screw facing out at the very bottem of the carb, turn it out a little and the gas will come out the hose underneath the machine.
