What XR200R seal kit (years) will work on the 83-85 200X engine. The only engine seal kits I can find are for the XR. Thanks guys!

Default 200X - XR200R question again!!!!!

I wish I could help you out like you help everyone else on this board.

Anyway, I've been buying my gaskets/seals/bearings on ebay. Many of the ebay stores selling this stuff might have or know what you're looking for. Have you tried "ask the seller a question" for some of the ebay stores selling these types of things?

Default 200X - XR200R question again!!!!!

Hey Thrash

I know PARTS UNLIMITED used to make seals for the X but some of the parts places I use don't list seals for the X anymore.

Part Unlimited does have a website where you can find your closest dealer and maybe you could give them a call and see if they still make them and some of their distributors just aren't listing them in the catalogs

I couldn't find any online catalogs for parts unlimited themselves.

As far as the cross between the X and the XR maybe Knowsalot could help you, he's pretty smart about what works with what.

Jeff

Your best bet is to look on partsfish.com and order the seals you need for the 200x if you did the forward kick conversion. Or get the part numbers and order from service honda for a nice savings, If you used the xr cam cover you will need the 1 additional seal where your compression release comes out. There are only 3 seals on the bottom end and 1 on the top if you used the xr cover. The price is not to bad for the seals. The rest of your o-ring and gaskets should be in your 200x complete gasket set.

Hey Mike.
The shift shaft seal, counter shaft seal, and the cam shaft seal are the same between the XR and X engines.

As for the kickstarter seal, they are different between the two engines.

Thanks to all. I found a kit on e-bay, I must have been jumping the gun a touch, but this will help in the future!
