sp700 vs. tb400?
#1
Haven't picked up the tb400 yet (hopefully this weekend), but just wondering which would win in a race from a dead stop all the way to top end? My sp700 is stock except for a white bros pure polaris muffler and k&n air filter. The tb400 is all stock. Any guesses because believe me when I get it I'll try it???

Spyder6 is correct. The tb400 will win the drag race. It will pull it on top end too. I am not sure how many lengths, but the 400 will win. The sp weighs about 240lbs more than the trailblazer, so you have to take that into account.

I have both and in stock condition my 700 beat the scrambler right from the start getting the hole shot.
Especially true in low traction conditions in or out of 4wd. The 700 would jump out to a few quad lengths and never look back well into the 40's.
Now with just a pipe and clutch kit it’s the other way around, the Scrammy does about the same but more like a 3 quad length lead within the first 30 yards and keeps pulling away.

Well, borrowed a GPS yesterday and here are the results on pavement, 02 700 with k+n filter and white bros pipe ran best of 64.4 and tb400 ran 65.3 mph. No wind, stock tire pressures, and rider weight of 270. I am still going to drag race them side by side though, hopefully soon.

Also, did a speedo test and when GPS showed 45 the speedo on the sp 700 only showed 42-43. Same thing with the polaris speedo kit on the 250 LE, GPS showed 35 and speedo showed about 33.
