Default change oil after 5 hours - kmz 150

I changed mine around that time. It needed it. I wouldn't reccomend leaving it in any longer. It was cloudy from the break-in and the cvt clutches maybe. There wasn't much metal in it...a few small pieces, however there was a shaving that i could tell was left over from the machining/tooling during manufacture. I could tell because it was a half inch long and thin and curled like it came from drilling or something similar. When you unscrew the drain plug a spring comes down with it. There is a screen above the spring. It has a rubber ring around the bottom of the screen. The screen has 2 layers stuck together. The screen assembly comes out. Stick your finger in the drain hole and get it out. Clean it and check it for particles. I poured clean oil through it in both directions to get it nice and clean. you might have to pick at it with your finger nail if it has something stuck inbetween the screens. The oil capacity for refill is only less than a quart so be careful.

i see this post is from 2005... but i haven't really found any info on the screen.

there is a sticker on my engine recomending that the screen be cleaned when the oil is changed. i'm wondering were this screen is? [ on my 110 ]

i accidentally removed the bolt with the long spring when i changed my oil.... [ i thought it was the drain plug] is this were the screen is on the 110 too? if it is, it must be way up in there!

any info on the screen would be appreciated!
