Click on the link and go into DS pictures. Majorecho installed some gauges including boost, temperature and O2. I have not seen it in person/machine yet but the pictures look great. There is also a picture of the 8/1 piston we had JE build. I think they turned out great. Let me know what you think.

That is a sweet looking piston. Is the upper lan thinker than stock?

Man. . . Major working on your bike. . . life can't be too bad

Looks real clean. Nice instrumentation. Now you have no excuses if the bike blows

The upper lan is thicker. It also has some gas ports to tighten the ring against the wall.

I am a lucky boy to have Major working on the DS for me. Now that the motor is "stable" I am moving into some external cleanup. Seeing Major's bike up close is going to cost me some money. He also has inspired me to take alot better care of the bike as far as cleanup and maintenance. I was allowing my bomb dealership to do the maintenance and they were not doing the greatest job. I had to replace several bushings in the A-arms and the machine has only a year of use. I don't think it was getting greased properly.

The only reason Major keeps his bike so clean is because he is convinced that if dust settles on the quad at all, the extra weight will cause him a bike length or 2 in a race. Either that or he is a pretty boy, I havent quite decided yet

Just messin wit ya major, I admire your quad ethics as well. Heck Matt (DSa) is just as bad. I kept mine dirty just so mine looked used, you know how I like to be different.

Hey Major, If you happen to look on this thread maybe you can tell me how to hook up a temp gauge on my DS? Also I would like to know which gauge to buy, if there is a better one. Thanks bro

if you don't mind leaning over to look down towards your coolant line to see your gauge, than the ESR in line temp gauge is the way to go. All you do is cut the coolant line and insert the gauge, no wires to hook up. If you want something on the dash it'll be a little more time consuming, you'll need to run a remote in line sensor to your gauge and a couple of wires to hook up.
