EXTENDED WARRANTY--TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY
#1
I am leaving Sat. to pickup a SP 800 from Polaris of Chattanooga (Rubicon has been sold). I have had several ATV's but never bought the extended warranty. I have a few questions that I am sure some of you can answer. How good is the Polaris extended warranty. What seems to be an average price on 24,36 and 48 month Polaris extended warranty(no deductable) How well is Polaris going to make a local dealer ( who I did not buy from) honor the warranty. Does Polaris offer your the extended warranty before your 6 month warranty expires. Also I assumed that the 24 month warranty started after the 6 month factory warranty but the salesman stated that the 24 month runs current with the 6 month factory warranty ( only 18 months extended warranty the way I figure). I am thinking about buying the Extended warranty from my local dealer being he will be the one having to do warranty work. I did try to buy the SP800 locally, offered 8100.00 OTD, dealer wanted 8700.00 OTD. Thanks

get the extended warranty. not because I think that the polaris brand is bad but because you never know what is going to happen after the short factory warranty is over. you could have a computer go bad and for the price of just that component you have paid for the warranty.
