kawasaki differential fourwheeler
#1
I just acquired a kawasaki differential fourwheeler. Don't know where to find the mode.Anyway, this thing doesn't have any spark to the spark plug. New plug. The ignition switch has been done away with and a toggle switch has been put in its place. Just got through tracing the wires. There is a white wire going to the toggle switch, which is hot and comes from the battery. It also splices under the seat and goes to a finned box. I guess the cdi. There is a brown wire that also goes to the toggle switch and also goes to the box. The white wire at the box is continually hot and the brown is hot at the box when the toggle switch is closed. There are also three yellow wires and one black-yellow wire coming from the box. The three yellow wires go into the side of the engine. The black-yellow goes to the handlebars. When the toggle switch is closed the black-yellow is hot but the three yellows aren't. Am I right at assuming the cdi box is bad?????

Sounds to me like you need to take it to a dealer or COMPETIT mechanic and get some of the riggin some one has done fixed. Unless the ignition was rigged for someone to take something that wasn't theirs in the first place. I'm not saying you did anything but a bike with missing ignition switches just sounds a little fishy.
