Default New to forums, just saying Hi!

Hi Everyone, Just joined today and wanted to say hi.
I also picked up my second sportsman today, a blue 05 500HO and my old sportsman now belongs to the wife, its a 02 400 .
I am looking for some input on what mods I should do first?
I was thinking a new k&n air filter and then a clutch kit?
Any ideas?

Thanks
Crash

On the SP's you dont even need a whole clutch kit. You can change the primary spring ($20) and change the secondary spring position (free) . This will have a huge affect on how it shifts and puts power to the ground. Also welcome to the dark side!

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Funny how we are always alike in our responses on the clutching not always needing a "kit"

welcome to our family, most of us are on here so much that we spend more time staring at our screens than we do staring at our wives. LOL

I would say the clutch kit is a good investment, one of these days I would like to get one on my rig. the K&N filter is a iffy one for me because I don't know if spending $45-60
is worth hoping it frees up some extra power. alot of guys say they don't really notice an increase but yesterday Jeff-fox tested his new 05' after installing a K&N filter and said he could notice a big difference. I would start out with the most popular stuff first, maybe a winch(Ramsey recommended) and some larger tires(Mudlites recommended)
