Vince,
Obviously you don't know much about the 450R. No it does not have electric start. No you can not buy it for it at this time. No it does not have reverse, and no, it is not a "bad bike"
If you have to have electric start and reverse, get something else.
The 450r is the easiest kick starting machine I have ever owned, I wouldn't trade it for any other quad.

OK Vinny, sorry, I didn't mean to come off sounding like an a$$hole.
The 450r is a great bike, however I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is just starting out in quading.
There are other bikes to choose from if you're just starting out. The '05 400ex has electric start and reverse as does the z400/kfx/cat.
You'll get a lot of debate as to which is better between the Honda and the Suzikawicat. (Suzuki z400, Kawasaki KFX400 and Artic Cat DVX400 are all a Suzuki with different plastic).
The Suzuki is , more or less, an updated 400ex with just as good handling, some will say better, and more power with it's water cooled engine.
Most of it comes down to brand loyalty and likes and dislikes.
This is a reat sport to get into, ask all the questions you want. There are a lot of people on this forum that know a lot about quads.

I agree with Red400EXRod: The 450R is the baddest, sexiest looking, easiest kick-starting quad I've ever owned. But it's not for everybody. Some folks trash on it for not having electric start & reverse. Personally, I'm proud of the fact that it doesn't have these "girlie quad" features.
