New tires for Prairie 650
#1
It's about time for me to replace the tires on my P650 and I'd like some suggestions. My riding area is mud, sand and hard pack. I do not want tires that are so agressive that I can't slide the rear-end around without it always wanting to tip. I'd like some good all around tires tailered towards mud / hardpack.
I'll probably replace the rims also.
Thanks.

MUDBUGS.... wear like iron, there light[lighter than mud lites in some sizes] and work good on trails and exelent in the mud, oh they are one of the cheapest tires out there... i have them,, and love them.. i have tried more expensive tires that didnt work half as good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also i live were there razor sharp rocks and never got a flat, i have never had to put air in them for that matter!!!!!i doubt if i will wear them out, but if i do i will get another set!! note: they are on a p 650

OK, thanks for the advice they look like pretty good tires now my next question is would you stick with the Stock size or go one inch(taller) bigger? I don't want to go 2" bigger for stability reasons.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

i run the 25s to keep it as trail friendly as possible ..but 26 would still retain a reasonable amount trailiblity keep in mind 26s a only give you 1/2 inch of extra clearance and also effects the gear ratio of your machine, i dont know about you, but my top speed is more than enough and could count on one hand how manny times i have had it going 60 mph... if you can get it going that fast in the trails your a better man than me!!!! also the stock tires are JUNK i got 3 flats in one day and went out and bought new tires the next day. you would think, at the cost of a new machine you would get a set of tires that last longer than 1/4 tank of fuel!!!!!!!!!!!
