My first post here: What is a decent price for an 05 KFX400? Can I talk them down any?
#1
I am looking to buying either a Z400 or KFX400 here in a couple of months. I am not particular about the color and will buy whatever I can get a cheaper price for. I have an advantage though, I live in El Paso, Texas which is FAR FAR West Texas, in the tip of Texas. SO, that means that I have the option to drive 20 minutes to Las Cruces, NM and get a quad their with lower taxes or some out of state taxes(something like that, don't know how it works.) I also can go to Alamagordo, NM or Deming, NM which are only a couple hours away. So what is a good price that I should be able to get on the Z400 or the KFX400 after it is all said and done?
On a sidenote: My friend bought a 2004 Polaris Predator is Las Cruces and claims that since it is out of state it will be tax free..... He bought his predator brand new out the door at $5,500. If that is the case I might just go with a predator if I can get that deal. Anybody know how it works with out of state purchases.

The Way It Works in Pa.
If you buy out of state you are required to report your purchase, if you don't report it, then it is not taxed. You can't get insurance or registration on it without paying the tax.
If you ever sell it, there is usually someone who will transfer the title to the buyer without it ever having been registered in your name.
A lot of people that don't need a tag COULD be doing this.
Hope You Get a Good Price!!!!!!!!!

Nope, I found out their is no taxes required if I do it this way. I talked to the other dealerships out of state 20 minutes away and apparently most of my city buys from them. I have asked around and it IS THAT SIMPLE. I will have the title and everything tax free.

As far as pricing goes i cant help you. However if you buy out of state you dont have to pay taxes. If it was me i would go with the suzuki because of the carb. and susp? upgrades that the others dont see.
