t4 spitting & sputtring

Default t4 spitting & sputtring

my tecate 4 runs fine in first gear then i 2nd and up when i give it full throtle it dies it starts spitting & sputtering. i have no clue what is wrong with it. spring just came and all i know is i cant ride so please help. i also have a spare cylender that needs to be resleeved can you resleeve them because it looks lik you cant. thankyou

Default t4 spitting & sputtring

you need to check the carb and tank for fuel flow first. clean the carb out good and check the float height. you might also have the stator starting to go. the t4 cylinder doesn't have a pressed sleeve stock, but some places will press one in or you could get it re plated.

thanks i all ready checked the carb but i never would of thought it could be the stator.

the tecates are notorious for bad stators. sometimes they just go bad and won't run at all, but sometimes they run but sputter and cut out with a load on them.
