Is the rumor true, that all OEM gas tanks for the 85-86 250R atc are black? I need to know for sure because I cant paint a plastic gas tank because it will bubble and I want mine black.

 

No the stock oem gas tank for a 1985 250r is red like the rest of the bike. mine is all stock from the factory and its red.

dont know why i didnt think of that before. with the big bore ill need extra gas anyways. now i need to find out if its a flat black or gloss.

The IMS isn't going to cut it. I got a glimpse of one and I dont like the lines of the tank.

I still need to know if its true that all OEM replacements now a days for these tanks come in black. I've heard it a couple times before and even more recently heard of one on ebay a couple weeks ago from a reputable source. Anyone know?
