you could probably find a 300ex for that kind of money or possibly a 400ex with the 400ex being a better quad but if you could dish out an extra thousand bucks you could buy a good 2003 z400

Take your time and look for that great deal. I bought my 02 raptor for 2500. It only needed a starter bearing. The great thing was it already had the mods listed below.

I ride: open fields, lots of woods, old railroad trax, small creeks, some hills if i can find them, the only thin i realy dont ride is sand dunes and rocks, i have alotta farm land and some no car gravle roads, i have enugh of my own land to make a nice track, just cant do as much with a 280cc 4X4 king.... but that little quad rocks!.... 400ex with no reverse(i know 05 but cant aford one)...

Ya, 300ex or warrior is prolly the only 2 u will find that fit your description and you can find for $2500 or less, I like the warrior better then the 300ex, Not sure how old you are but the 300 to me seems a little small, warrior is bigger and looks better too!

i forgot about the warrior....but i am sorry to say warrior isnt that much bigger or faster...and a 300ex is a good all around reliable bike...

Personally I LIKE THE 300ex better than the warrior. Sure the warrior has a few mph on top end but the 300 is more fun. It wheelies great goes about as good as a 2wd rancher (with the skid plate off) and it it suprisingly quick down the trail. It is also capable of climbing some suprising hills. The warrior can do all this, but the 300 is a bit smaller and easier to through around. Plus it is super reliable.
