I've been keeping track of the radar runs that the different mag's do & in the latest ATV sport, they added an FMF pipe & silencer to a stock 250R & the 0-30mph time was 2.68 & an earlier issue the Scambler 0-30mph time was at 2.86. This Scrambler had pipe, clutch, reed, carb & 12:1 head but no porting. Does this sound correct? Has anyone drag raced a piped 250R yet w/ their 12:1 headed Sport or Scrambler? According to the article the 250R beat Banshees & people on modified Polaris also said they beat stock Banshees but what about a piped 250R? The Raptor times are about the same the the piped 250R. Just curious.
Thanks

I have a 96 sport 400 with trail porting, hpd race pipe, bored carb, stock reeds and 22"turftamers with stock gearing. It will kill anything but a fully modifide 310r or trinity banshee even then it depends on who gets the better start. Thats on 93 octane. The bike tops out at 78 mph.
