350 trailblazer engine repair/swap advice
#1
I recently aquired a 1990 350 trailblazer. It looks great but has a bad con rod bearing that caused some minor scoring to the jug.
My dilema is... Should I repair the existing engine or just swap it out with a replacement? If I replace it, What options do I have.
I`ve looked at several engines that look to be the same physical size, and appear to mount up the same as well. Is this the case? and if so, What engines would directly swap into my chassis?
I`m not apposed to a 4 stroke swap if it could be accomplished with minor modifications.
Also, I haven`t sourced any of the parts yet, and would appreciate any recomendations of good running donor engines,or replacement internal component for my current engine.
Thanks, Denny
