I have an 05 Rubicon. The dealer said it has 34 horsepower and my cousin has a 04 Rubicon and his has 26 horsepower. How did they get 8 more horses on the 05?

 

it is the same as last years rubicon.
the dealer is full of it.
and if it has 26 youl be doing good.
check out the hilifter site they did some dyno runs on some quads and the rubicon might be in there.

The only engine that was actually changed for '05 was on the 500 foreman, not on the rubicon. The rubi did receive the same suspension, brake, and bodywork changes though.

 

On the paperwork for the atv it says it has 33.7 horsepower. How can they lie on the paperwork?

 

I'm just curious, but what paperwork had the horsepower rating? I looked at everything I had and I can't find anything that lists horsepower. I would kind of like to know what my foreman is rated at.

 

It is on the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin. It also has the shipping weight and the vin number.

 

thats funny because i cant find that on my spec sheet.
plus if it had that much HP it would be as fast or faster then my 700p.
and i dont think thats the case.
im told that my 700p has about 30 to 35 HP so im sure the honda is less then that.
or it would be faster then my kawi.

 

Just because it has as much horsepower as your 700p it doesn't mean it can go as fast. It may just mean you could pull more.

 

i own both and theres no comparason.
look on the high lifter wab site for dyno runs and you will see what they run.
i dident see one the rubicon but theres one on the kawi.
