Default GAS in fly wheel and header pipe?

Hello, My friend Chris has a 1994 yamaha blaster, The other day trying to start it we noticed that on the header pipe there was a little hole that when u would kick it over it would shoot a small amount of gas out. Also About 2 weeks ago we were riding and his rubber garmet ( i think thats whhat its called) on the top of the fly wheel case came out. Unfortunetly we couldn't find it but nothing seemed to be going wrong as it was running so we kept riding. Anyway so when we went to start it up i noticed in side the hole, looking at the fly wheel there was gas in there... not a little too "alot" Chirs kicking it over, gas started rising out the hole and flowing on the side of the case. We turned the quad on its side to let all the gas come out of the hole and about 2 cup fulls came flowing out. After that we desided to take off the Header pipe the head the fly wheel plastic case covering it and look in the head at the piston. when we tipped the header pipe over about a cup of gas came out of there. Point being is i know there isn't suposed to be gas in either one of those areas what do u think he needs that went bad that allowed gas to get in those spots. Thanks -Rick
